Welcome to Japanese with Meg (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Services

We provide online Japanese language lessons. Bookings are made through Acuity Scheduling.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the services at any time without prior notice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent to use our services.

3.Booking and Payment

All bookings are made through Acuity Scheduling.

Payment is processed through Stripe using a credit card.

We do not store credit card information. Stripe handles all payment data.

4.Cancellation, Refund, and Memberships

・Single Lesson Bookings

If you cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson, you will receive a full refund.

Stripe processing fees are non-refundable.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson are non-refundable.

・Memberships

Membership fees are charged automatically on each billing date and are non-refundable once the billing cycle has begun.

Lessons included in a membership must generally be used within the current billing cycle.

For the 4-Lesson Membership, one unused lesson may be carried over to the following billing cycle.

Carried-over lessons are applied before lessons included in the current billing cycle and must be used within that billing cycle.

Carried-over lessons cannot be carried over again. Any remaining unused lessons will expire at the end of the billing cycle.

Additional lessons may be purchased separately, subject to availability.

In exceptional circumstances, such as illness or unavoidable business travel, I may, at my sole discretion, offer an alternative arrangement. This will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

5.Intellectual Property

All content provided (audio, scripts, vocabulary lists, PDFs, etc.) is protected by copyright.

You may not copy, distribute, share, or use the content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

6.Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.

Our liability is limited to the amount paid by the user for the lesson.

7.Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
